Healthrider is owned by Icon Health and Fitness, the same company that manufactures other brands like Proform, Weslo, Image, Reebok and Nordic Track.

While Healthrider is better known for it's treadmills and rider exercise machines, they do produce a recumbent exercise bike that's affordable for a home gym on a budget.

Healthrider N25 Recumbent Bike
The Healthrider N25 Recumbent bike runs around $199 which puts it in the economy exercise bike category.  It offers Silent Magnetic Resistance and adjustable seat (although you have to get offe the bike to do this).

The console is simple and shows you speed, distance and pulse while you work out. You also get heart rate monitor with grips on the side arms.  Another great feature is the step-through design.

On the other hand, Icon isn't known for their great customer service and the few Healthrider user reviews we found weren't all that positive.  They listed several breakdowns, especially with gears slipping and repair problems. It seems that even with Icon bikes, you get what you pay for.

Bottom Line: Not Recommended

While the Healthrider N25 Recumbent bike is affordable and offers several attractive features, it really isn't worth the money, in our opinion.  We'd rather spend just a bit more and get a Schwinn which offers high quality construction and better user reviews.

Where To Buy At A Discount:

If you do decide to purchase the Healthrider recumbent bike, you can save money by buying direct from the Healthrider manufacturer.

You'll save money on the store markup - which can usually save you a few hundred dollars. You can also save on sales tax and shipping.
